Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (216) 266-0573. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is pos.chowbus.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

I came here with my mom 40 minutes before closing time, expecting poor service. However, the lady was super nice and was willing to help out the whole time. We felt so bad but they never rushed us and let us eat peacefully. The food is also very good(we got a "create-your-own malatang") and one bowl was more than enough for two people. I will definitely be coming back here when I visit Ohio again!

★★★★★ We finally stopped by Ma La Tang, and I’m so glad we did! The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the Roujiamo (Chinese burger), chicken heart skewers, mini pork soup dumplings, and the build-your-own Ma La Tang with the super extra spicy broth, plus a boba tea. The Ma La Tang was the star of the meal. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had the perfect spicy. I wish there was a little more numbing kick and maybe a smidge more salt in the broth. If you enjoy spicy food like we do, definitely go for the super extra spicy level! The Chinese burger (Roujiamo) was something I’d never tried before, and it was really good. It’s easy to see why Anthony Bourdain enjoyed it—it was simple, unique, and packed with flavor. The mini pork soup dumplings were delicious. The filling and broth were excellent, but the wrapper could be a little stronger since a few broke open and the soup spilled out before we could eat them. The chicken heart skewers had amazing seasoning and great flavor. My only suggestion would be to make them just a little more tender. I wish there were options to pump up the spice level to hot and extra hot! I also got the boba tea

I've been very curious so I stopped to try something real quick. They have a big menu! The ppl eating in the restaurant looked satisfied lol. The bowls of soup are huge!!! I tried the pork soup dumplings and a shrimp upon. The dumplings where excellent! So flavorful and the dipping sauce was outstanding! The shrimp udon was fair. It really was bland and didn't have many veggies in it at all. I would never get that again. Oh I got a thai tea too! Not too sweet! It was perfect! But I know for a fact I'll be back to get a bowl of soup, Soon lol You gotta eat in the restaurant to enjoy our soups! Nice spot!

Really cute place with really good food. The byo hotpot bowl was awesome. The medium spice level was accurate. The boba tea was really good as well. I like the tablet ordering system, and the fact that you can choose what you want in your bowl and add extras. Very filling bowls even with the minumum 5 items.

We came in on a Wednesday evening and got relatively quick service. I highly suggest the creating your own Malatang soup — picking the broth and spice levels, to type of noodle and extra toppings. If you don’t know how much to get, aim around 3-5 toppings. I got beef x2, imitation crab, spinach, and enoki mushrooms. The bowl is big so I wasn’t able to finish it but I got very close! The prices are fair when it comes to the soup. U get a lot for what u pay for. The bathrooms are very small but clean. Overall solid food and would definitely come back for more!
